Website Availability Checker

The Website Status Checker probes one URL and reports whether it's up, its status code and response time. This tool probes both protocols for a host — http:// and https:// — side by side. That surfaces problems a single check hides: a site that answers on HTTPS but not HTTP, an HTTP version that doesn't redirect to HTTPS, or a final URL that lands somewhere unexpected after redirects.

It means a request to the plain http:// address ends up on an https:// URL after following redirects — the standard, secure behaviour every site should have. If plain HTTP stays on HTTP, visitors can be served over an unencrypted connection, which browsers increasingly warn about and which leaks traffic. Seeing 'does not redirect to HTTPS' is a cue to add an HTTP→HTTPS redirect at your server or CDN.

Available means the protocol answered with a normal status (below 400). Responded means the server replied but with an error status (such as 403 or 500) — it's reachable but not serving the page. Unreachable means nothing answered: no connection, a timeout, or a refused address. Each protocol is judged independently, so you can tell exactly where the gap is.
