DPA (Data Processing Agreement / AVV)
A Data Processing Agreement (DPA; German: Auftragsverarbeitungsvertrag, AVV) is a contract that governs how a vendor processes personal data on your behalf, as required by GDPR.
When you use a monitoring provider that touches personal data, GDPR requires a DPA defining purposes, security measures, and sub-processors. A ready-to-sign DPA is often a procurement prerequisite for EU B2B clients.
