SMTP
SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) is the protocol mail servers use to send and relay outgoing email.
If your SMTP server is down or misconfigured, outgoing mail — receipts, password resets, alerts — silently stops. SMTP monitoring verifies the server accepts connections and responds correctly, catching delivery problems before customers notice.
