Maintenance Window
A maintenance window is a planned time period during which work is performed on a service and alerts are suppressed.
During a maintenance window — for a deployment, upgrade, or migration — the affected service is treated as "in maintenance" rather than down. Alerts are suppressed so planned work does not page your team, and status pages can show the service as under maintenance.
Maintenance windows are normally excluded from SLA and uptime calculations, because the downtime was planned and communicated in advance.
