Pushover Integration
The Pushover integration allows you to receive real-time notifications about the status of your monitored websites directly on your mobile devices (iOS, Android) or your desktop.
Setup
To use Pushover, you need a Pushover account and the corresponding app on your device.
- User Key: Find your User Key on your Pushover Dashboard.
- API Token: Create a new Application/API Token under "Create New Application/API Token" on the Pushover website.
Enter these two keys in the integration settings of your dashboard.
Notifications
You will receive notifications for the following events:
- 🔴 Down: Website is unreachable.
- 🟢 Recovery: Website is reachable again.
- ⚠️ Degraded: Website is responding slowly or with errors.
- 🔔 Reminder: Reminder if a website remains offline.
Message Content
Notifications are rich in information to give you immediate insight:
- Status: Visual indicator (🔴/🟢/⚠️) and text.
- Website: Name and URL of the affected site.
- Customer & Organization: Assignment of the website.
- Error Details: HTTP Status Code and error message (e.g.,
503 Service Unavailable). - Timestamp: Start time of the incident and duration (on recovery).
- Diagnostics:
- Traceroute available: A traceroute was created and can be viewed in the dashboard.
- Error: Direct display of connection errors.
- Custom Fields: Customer-specific fields (e.g.,
Profihost Customer Number) are displayed directly. - Screenshot: A link to the screenshot of the website at the time of the error (if available).
Priorities
- High Priority (1): For
DOWNevents. These messages bypass "Quiet Hours" settings in Pushover. - Normal Priority (0): For
RECOVERY,WARNING, andTESTevents.
