How to add your first monitor

Setting up your first monitor is easy and takes less than a minute. Follow these steps to start monitoring your infrastructure.

Step 1: Navigate to Websites

From your dashboard, click on Websites in the sidebar or the "Add Website" button on the main dashboard overview.

Click the + Add Website button. You will need to provide:

Name: A friendly name for your monitor (e.g., "Marketing Site").
URL: The full URL you want to monitor (e.g., https://example.com).
Check Interval: How often we should check your site (e.g., every 1 minute, 5 minutes).

You can fine-tune your monitor with these settings:

Locations: Choose specific regions to check from. We offer city-level precision (e.g., Nuremberg, Falkenstein, Helsinki, US East).
Protocol: Choose between HTTP(S) or TCP Port monitoring.
Timeout: Set a custom timeout threshold.

Click Create Website. Your monitor is now active! We will immediately perform the first check.

Note: To prevent false positives, we verify any downtime from at least two different locations before sending an alert.
